The Mercedes air suspension compressor is the pump for the pneumatic Airmatic air suspension system from Mercedes-Benz. The compressor can malfunction due to age, wear and tear or overheating. It is often overloaded by a leak in the system or a broken sensor or relay, which keeps the pump running for too long. After the new compressor has been installed, the relay must also be replaced and leaks resolved in order to qualify for warranty.
